Core Doctrines General Teaching

We want this web site to be a useful reference for our teaching as a Church. Over time we hope to build up a good reference database of teaching; all presented in a short, formal and easy to read format.

All our teaching is based on and needs to be measured against the Bible.

The Bible, as the Word of God, is our absolute authority in all matter of faith and doctrine. However, we recognize that it is possible to accidentally divert from the teaching of the scriptures in some matters so we would ask you to be vigilant as you read - and contact me should you feel concerned about any element of the teaching contained on this site.

Now not all teaching is equally important, or even equally valid. It is easy for Christians to be led astray by concentrating excessively on minor matters (which may or may not be true), whilst neglecting the really weighty and important doctrines.

Therefore, we want to divide this teaching reference into 2 areas.

Firstly, the `core doctrines`. These are absolutely essential Christian teachings that you neglect at your peril. These are the teachings that we should devote most time and concern with - we need to ensure that we comply with these in all respects.

Secondly, are the `general teachings`. These are genuinely felt to be important areas for us to know about and to practice. However, they are secondary to the core doctrines.
