Rivers of Life Camp 2008 Appleton
Monday 28th July until Thursday 31st July
Ages 7-15
With only a few weeks to go until the start of the Rivers of Life Camp 2008, we wanted to write to you with the final arrangements for the camp and with a list of things that your son/daughter needs to bring with him/her.
Please let us know if your son/daughter is going to attend the camp by the end of June 2008; we will very much appreciate if you can also pay the full fee by then, as this will help with the administration. The price is £20 for the first son/daughter in each family and then £15 for each subsequent son/daughter. Francis Logviniuk will receive all payments.
Arrival and Registration
The camp will start at 111 Netherton Road, Appleton, OX13 5LA (see directions below) on the Monday 28th July with registration at 1:30pm at the farm. Please make sure that when you drop off your son/daughter they have the following with them:
1- Permission form completed and signed (this was enclosed in the previous letter); please ensure that all the sections are completed – if the allergy, medical and dietary sections are not applicable then please write N/A.
2- Balance to pay if needed.
3- Any necessary medication that your son/daughter might need to be passed on to Carina King, who is in charge of First Aid. It must be clearly named and clear instruction must also be visible.
What Your Son/Daughter Needs to Bring
Here is a list of all of the items that we can think of that your son/daughter will need to bring. If you do not have any of these items e.g. a sleeping bag or Bible then please contact in good time so that we can arrange for someone to lend you the item/s.

Warm clothes for the evenings

Shoes for walking in or Wellington boots and at least one other pair of shoes.

Swimming gear (Please bring their Slice card so that entrance to the swimming pool will be free, if you are not from Oxford, bring a photocopy of your birth certificate)

Cake or a packet of biscuits

Packed tea for Monday evening

Teddy bear (optional!)

A small sum of money to donate to a charity for an offering in the last meeting

Notebook and pen/pencil. (Coloured pens if you have them).

£5 contribution to the entrance fee for the visit to an activity farm.
Thursday Barbecue and End of Camp
The camp will end on the evening of Thursday 31st July with a barbecue and presentation at 5:00pm. We would like you to join us for what promises to be a very entertaining and special end to the camp. Please bring sausages or hamburgers if you are able to come. It will also be great if you could help us with packing, especially ensure that your son/daughter has all his/her belonging before he/she goes back home! Finally, if anyone does know of a tent that we could borrow then please do not hesitate to get in contact with us. We are very much looking forward to the camp and invite you to us in prayer for the event over these next few weeks. Please get in contact with us if you any further questions.
Rivers of Life will make every effort to ensure the safety and security of your children, at this camp. However, we recommend that you do obtain insurance if you do not already have one for any loss or damage."
